How to make an appointment?

Document summary: The cost of the first consultation is  250€ or 350€ incl.VAT depending on the type of procedure or its complexity (more details here). This fee is deductible if you subsequently open a file with the firm. The procedure can be determined on the basis of the questionnaire sent. During this consultation, we will inform you of the remaining fee, which will be divided into 3 provisions based on the different phases of progress, the last one based on a “success fee” (more details here).

Our advice: It is important to fill in the appointment questionnaire properly in order for us to give you the best advice during your first appointment.

Fill in the online questionnaire

In order to set up an appointment and to prepare for the interview, we kindly ask you to provide us with additional information by answering this questionnaire.

Choose the subject that concerns you:

IMMIGRATION/FOREIGN LAW FORMShort and long stay visa procedures, applications for stay/residence, nationality, single permit, professional card, annuity visa, legal cohabitation, marriage, recognition of children and family reunion.

 

Once the questionnaire is completed, you can choose to set up an appointment via the secretary’s office (you will see the phone number to contact us) or via the website.

• Reception and analysis of the questionnaire by the secretary’s office
• Assignment of the most specialized lawyer, depending on the procedure and its complexity

Set up the appointment via the secretary’s office or via the website

You can make an appointment in 2 ways once you have completed the questionnaire in step 1:

  • Via the secretary’s office at +32(2).503.12.17
    (amount of the consultation to be paid at the office on the day of your appointment)
  • Via the website by clicking here
    (amount of the consultation to be paid online via credit card)

Choose the type of appointment

You can choose from 2 appointment types:

  • At the Office
  • Remotely by video call where you will receive a Zoom or Google Meet link (in this case, the consultation must be paid in advance on our bank account) *

*instructions will be sent to you in the confirmation email you will receive after booking the appointment

 

 


 

Important!

The rate

The amount of the first consultation is between 150€, 250€ or 350€ VAT included depending on the procedure:

Asylum, humanitarian (9bis) or medical (9ter) regularization, C visa /short stay , Family reunification/Nationality/Permanent or unlimited stay, student stay (30 minutes) – 250 euros incl.VAT (30 minutes)

Family law (30 minutes) – 250 euros incl.VAT (30 minutes)

Change of status/Single permit/Annuitant visa, professional card – 350 euros incl.VAT (45 minutes)

This rate includes:

BEFORE THE CONSULTATION

  • Analysis of the questionnaire and assignment of the most specialised lawyer
  • preparation of the consultation by the lawyer on the basis of the questionnaire and the documents sent by e-mail

DURING THE CONSULTATION

  • additional questions to confirm the strategy
  • explanation of the applicable procedure(s) (conditions, time limit, type of residence permit issued, conditions for renewal…)
  • individualised recommendations to increase the chances of success of the case
  • information on the amount of the fees and the payment instalments
  • answers to questions

AFTER THE CONSULTATION

  • Sending of a thank you email with our general conditions and instructions for opening a file, and communication of the direct email of the lawyer in charge of your file
  • Sending of a written legal opinion (consultation note) summarising:
    • the recommended procedure(s) (conditions, time limit, type of residence permit issued, conditions for renewal…)
    • individualised recommendations to increase the chances of success of the case
    • information on the amount of the fees and the payment instalments, and details of the services included in the package

If you decide to open a file with our lawyer, this amount will be deducted from the first retainer if this retainer is paid within a maximum of 48 hours after the first interview.

Then, during this consultation, we will inform you of the remaining fee, which will be divided into 3 provisions based on the different phases of progress, the last one based on a “success fee”.

 

The questionnaire

In order to set up an appointment and prepare for the interview, we ask you to provide us with additional information by answering this questionnaire.

We ask you to fill in the questionnaire as soon as possible so that we can propose a day and time for an appointment with one of our specialized lawyers in the field for which you are consulting us.

Please fill in the questionnaire, making sure to explain your problem as precisely as possible.

Once the questionnaire is completed, you can choose to set up the appointment via the secretary’s office (you will see the phone number to contact us) or via the website.

We also request you to send us a copy of the decisions you received or any relevant documents, either for the ongoing procedure or for previous procedures. Please send them directly to us by email at secretariat@avocat-halabi.com, mentioning “request for an appointment + your full name” in the subject line.

All information exchanged will remain confidential, our lawyers being subject to professional secrecy.
